Representatives of the Crimea won three medals at the traditional All-Russian judo tournament among juniors and juniors under 21 (athletes born in 2004-2006) held on June 29-30 in Armavir, Krasnodar Territory.
Ruslan Somenko from Simferopol (coach Roman Somenko) became a silver medalist in the weight category up to 90 kg in junior competitions. In the category over 100 kg «silver» in the asset of Sevastopol Alexander Kobat (coaches — Vyacheslav Amelin, Vladimir Shchelkanov and Roman Semenikhin). Women from Kerch distinguished themselves among juniors: Alena Belousova took silver in the weight category up to 48 kg, and Marina Antoshkina won bronze in the category up to 78 kg. Both athletes train under the guidance of Vladimir Krasov, — reports «Crimean sport».
In total, more than three hundred athletes from 25 regions of the Russian Federation took part in the tournament, which was a qualifying tournament for the Russian championship (to be held in the fall in Tula).
