The Open kickboxing tournament “Don Cup-2023” was held in Rostov-on-Don.
549 athletes of different age categories from 14 regions of the Russian Federation took part in the competition. A real triumph was the performance at this tournament for the Crimean national team, which won first overall team places in two disciplines — “full contact” and “light contact”, as well as in the total number of medals won— reports Crimea Kickboxing Federation.
The Don Cup is not a new tournament. This is a competition with almost 20 years of history. At one time, the tournament was very popular and had All-Russian status. Then he disappeared from the calendar for a while, but still did not cease to exist. After a short break, the leadership of the Kickboxing Federation of the Rostov Region decided to revive the tournament, well known far beyond the Don region, giving it the rank of Open City Competitions.
