Crimean man beats up elderly father. Now — to court, and then…
CrimeaPRESS reports:
A resident of the Bakhchisaray district, who had been repeatedly convicted of crimes committed with the use of violence, appeared before the court for beating his elderly father. The Bakhchisaray district court of the Republic of Crimea brought the torturer to criminal responsibility and sentenced him to one year of imprisonment in a strict regime penal colony.
As established during the consideration of the criminal case, a 40-year-old local resident, living with his parents, regularly abused alcoholic beverages, which is why verbal conflicts often arose in the family. The son demanded money for alcohol. Often, the conflict turned from shouting into a brawl. The adult child began to raise his hand against his father. During such conflicts, as a result of beating him by his son, the elderly parent received bodily injuries in the form of abrasions and wounds on his face and hands. At the court hearing, the defendant admitted his guilt in full— the court’s press service reported.
The defendant’s guilt in the charges brought against him has been fully proven, the court qualified his actions under Part 2 of Article 116.1 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation — as battery that caused physical pain, but did not entail the consequences specified in Article 115 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation, and did not contain elements of a crime provided for in Article 116 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation, by a person who has a criminal record for a crime committed with the use of violence, as well as under paragraph «c» of Part 2 of Article 115 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation — as intentional infliction of minor bodily harm that caused a short-term health disorder, committed with the use of an object used as a weapon.
The sentence has not entered into legal force.
