CrimeaPRESS reports:
A resident of the Kirovsky District will stand trial for the brutal murder of a fellow villager. The Crimean committed the crime, tried to «cover his tracks» by drowning the body, and then went on the run. The Investigative Committee reported the details of the case:
On the night of February 3, a conflict broke out between drunken men in the courtyard of a house in the village of Zhuravki, during which a 37-year-old local resident hit a 51-year-old neighbor. Believing that he had died, the attacker decided to hide his tracks. Together with a friend in a car, he transported the unconscious victim to the bank of the North Crimean Canal near the village of Novopokrovka, tied his legs with a cable and tied fragments of concrete pillars, throwing the body into the water, where it was discovered some time later.
During the work of the Investigative Committee and the Ministry of Internal Affairs, the suspect’s identity was established. On February 9, he was detained at the Simferopol train station.
