Crimean operatives detained a Krasnodar resident suspected of setting a BMW car on fire

In April of this year, the Department of Internal Affairs of Russia in the city of Feodosia received a message that a BMW car was on fire on one of the streets of the city.
According to the conclusion of the examination, the cause of the fire was arson. Police officers carried out all the necessary measures aimed at solving this crime. As a result of painstaking work, investigators identified the alleged suspect. He turned out to be a 31-year-old resident of the Krasnodar region who had no previous convictions. He was put on the federal wanted list. The citizen was detained on October 25 of this year by operatives of the Criminal Investigation Department of the Ministry of Internal Affairs for the Republic of Crimea together with colleagues from the Main Department of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Russia for the Krasnodar Territory in Krasnodar— reported the press service of the Russian Ministry of Internal Affairs in Crimea.
The Investigation Department of the Department of Internal Affairs of Russia for the city of Feodosia opened a criminal case against the suspect on the grounds of a crime under Part 3 of Art. 30 — part 2 tbsp. 167 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation — attempted intentional destruction of someone else’s property by arson.
The sanction of the article provides for a maximum penalty of imprisonment for a term of up to 5 years.
