Crimean police officers urge citizens to be vigilant so as not to become victims of scammers
CrimeaPRESS reports:
In order to inform citizens about remote fraud schemes, police officer of the Russian Department of Internal Affairs for the city of Sudak, junior police sergeant Anna Kuprina, held a series of preventive conversations with local residents on the busiest streets of the city.
She told citizens about the most common schemes of scammers, and also handed out brochures with useful information on how to recognize deception. The police officer emphasized: employees of banks and law enforcement agencies never call citizens via instant messengers WhatsApp, Telegram, Viber, They do not require you to provide your bank card details or perform any manipulations with your bank account!
Be vigilant and follow the recommendations:
- do not believe people who present themselves as law enforcement officers and banking employees who report that any transactions are being made with your money account right away;
- do not follow unknown links received to you via messengers from third-party sources;
- do not follow the instructions of unknown citizens trying to convince them of quick “easy” money,
- no one is interested in enriching you for free;
- Do not give your bank card to strangers.
