Crimean projects in the field of event tourism became winners of the regional stage of the Russian Event Awards

Crimean projects in the field of event tourism became the winners of the regional stage of the Southern and North Caucasian Federal District of the Russian Event Awards. Of the 52 projects submitted, 39 events from 8 regions reached the finals. Among them are 15 Crimean events. The district stage of the award was held with the assistance of the Ministry of Resorts and Tourism of the Republic of Crimea.

All three prizes in the category “Best Tourist Event Idea” were taken by Crimean events:

1st place – Lavender Day in Crimea, Simferopol;

2nd place – “Pumpkin Festival”, Evpatoria;

3rd place – “Belbeshkiny rest”, Bakhchisarai district.

The best MICE event in the field of tourism was the Accelerator of entrepreneurial projects “Tourism Factory”, Simferopol. WINEPARK Fest and the II Crimean Opera Ball, Yalta, were recognized as the best tourist event in the field of culture and art among cities with a population of over 100,000 people, second place was awarded to Sunset Vibes, Yalta.

Another first place in the nomination “Best tourist event in the field of popular science tourism” went to the popular science marathon “With Victory to Victory”, Alushta. The Belbek Fair in Bakhchisarai was also the first to be recognized as “The best project to popularize event tourism.”

Second place in the category “Best Youth Tourism Event” went to the “Youth” Ball, Yalta. Also second in the nomination “Best Tourist Event Based on a Natural Phenomenon or Geographical Location” was recognized as the II Festival “Blossoming Sakura”, Yalta, the third in the same nomination was the II Festival “Nature of Art”, Yalta, Bakhchisaray. In the category “Best Street Theater Performance and Carnival”, the annual Festival “Summer Evenings on Karaimskaya”, Evpatoria, took silver. «DREAMFEST Fabulous 5 years!» took second place in the category “Best Children’s Tourist Event”, and the best event for older people was the active longevity movement for residents of Crimea “KOMUZA”, Dzhankoy, winning first place in the district stage of the Award.

Experts recognized the Ribera Resort & SPA hotel, Evpatoria, as one of the best accommodation facilities for holding a tourist event.

The Ministry of Resorts and Tourism of the Republic of Crimea reminded:

The international award in the field of event tourism, Russian Event Awards, was established in 2012 on the initiative of the chairman of the board of the PR agency FROS Region PR and the head of the event tourism committee of the RST, Gennady Shatalov, as an industry award awarded based on the results of an open competition of projects for achievements in the field development of event tourism. Until 2022, it was held in the format of the National Award.
