Crimean rescuers congratulated the legend of Soviet mountaineering, «Star of the Mountains», «Snow Leopard» Elvira Nasonova

Rescuers of the Alushta emergency rescue team «Crimea-SPAS», members of the KRO «ROSSOYUZSPAS» congratulated the famous athlete, the legend of female mountaineering, the «Star of the Mountains» Elvira Timofeevna Nasonova on her birthday.

It was Elvira Nasonova who created the first section of mountaineering and rock climbing in Alushta, being her permanent coach. She has more than 50 ascents of the highest category of complexity. More than 30 times a Crimean woman took a personal part in rescue operations to help those in distress in the mountains. In the world practice of the climbing rescue service, not a single case of a woman rescuer working in such a position has been registered.
