Crimean rescuers ensured safety during Epiphany bathing

Employees of the Main Directorate of the Ministry of Emergency Situations of Russia for the Republic of Crimea ensured the safety of citizens during Epiphany bathing.
In total, 20 places were set up on the territory of the peninsula, where more than a hundred residents and guests of the Republic performed ablutions. The safety of the Orthodox rite was ensured by rescuers of the Russian Ministry of Emergency Situations, interacting with employees of the State Institution of the Republic of Crimea «CRIMEA-SPAS», the police, the Ministry of Health, executive authorities and volunteers.
In total, 275 people and 73 pieces of equipment were involved from the RSChS to ensure the safety of the events, including 89 people and 27 pieces of equipment from the Ministry of Emergency Situations of Russia. Thanks to the coordinated actions of all emergency response services, no accidents occurred on the water— reported the emergency department.
The Great Blessing of Water also took place in the Church of the Burning Bush Icon of the Mother of God, located on the territory of the Main Administration. All employees, as well as their relatives, could collect blessed water, specially brought from the Cosmo-Damianovsky Monastery.
