Crimean rescuers evacuated two women from Mount Sokol

Yesterday, at 18:35, Crimean rescuers received a message that two women, while walking along a tourist trail along Mount Sokol (near Sudak), lost their way and entered a difficult area of terrain. They cannot continue moving on their own. The help of rescuers is needed in their search and evacuation. The duty shift of the Sudak emergency rescue team “CRIMEA-SPAS” and the Main Directorate of the Ministry of Emergency Situations of Russia for the Republic of Crimea went to the search and rescue area.
Rescuers contacted the victims by mobile phone and clarified their location. As a result of search operations, the Ministry of Emergency Situations found women in a difficult area with loose soil in the area of the Shaitan-Dere gorge. They did not need medical attention. Rescuers, using climbing equipment, laid safety railings and evacuated the tourists to a safe place.— said the emergency department.
