Crimean rescuers worked on coordinated action in extinguishing forest fires. Exercises on the South Coast

On the eve of the fire season in Crimea, on the territory of the Alupkinskoye forestry, interdepartmental fire-tactical exercises were held to extinguish a simulated forest fire. Crimean rescuers (Yalta Fire and Rescue Garrison) and foresters (specialists from the Federal State Budgetary Institution “Reserved Crimea”) took part in them.
According to the tactical plan, as a result of careless handling of fire by the tourist group, the forest floor caught fire. Due to the complex mountainous terrain, a large amount of dry vegetation and winds of up to 20 m/s, the fire area increased to 15 hectares. According to preliminary data received from forest fire brigades, there is a threat of a forest fire spreading to the settlement. Gaspra. Due to high temperatures and long periods of absence of precipitation, fire hazard class V has been established in most of the territory of the Yalta municipality.— said the Main Directorate of the Ministry of Emergency Situations of Russia in the Republic of Crimea.
It is emphasized that the main goal of the exercise is to train all RSChS services, prepare personnel to extinguish forest fires and carry out emergency rescue operations in difficult conditions, practice actions to eliminate emergency situations and carry out rescue operations.
Representatives of the relevant departments worked on organizing the work of the rear during a fire using different types of extinguishing, the interaction of the fire department with foresters, as well as the coherence of the work of fire extinguishing areas.
Particular attention was paid to protecting the nearest settlement from the spread of fire to residential buildings, where 17 private households, inhabited by 52 people, 19 of whom are children, are under threat.
Thus, thanks to timely information received and the prompt actions of all interaction services, the fire was successfully extinguished. All tasks assigned during the exercise were completed in fullnoted the emergency department.
In total, 167 people and 45 pieces of equipment took part in the exercise to practice actions to eliminate a large forest fire from the territorial subsystem of the RSChS, of which 95 personnel and 21 pieces of equipment were from the Ministry of Emergency Situations of Russia.
