Crimean resident donates icons and Orthodox library to dugout church
CrimeaPRESS reports:
A Crimean resident, Viktor, decided to support our fighters and give them a piece of the most necessary thing — his faith. The Crimean asked the People’s Front to give our fighters in the SVO zone and bring to the dugout churches his home icons, 12 volumes of «Lives of the Saints» and other Orthodox literature.
Crimeans often bring their icons, Orthodox books, Bibles, asking to pass them on to the guys at the front. People want to share a piece of the light of their souls and pass on their sacred relics to where faith means the most to people these days. We bring them directly into the hands of our guys or pass them on with the mission of a special humanitarian center of the Crimean Metropolitanate of the Russian Orthodox Church, whose clergy bring them directly to the dugout churches— the press service quotes the head of the executive committee of the People’s Front in Crimea, Alla Vertinskaya.
Victor himself was laconic and asked to convey a simple, heartfelt message to the guys:
Wish our guys health, good luck and a speedy VICTORY!
The first icons were handed over by representatives of the Presidential Movement with the next humanitarian aid to soldiers in the Kherson direction of the SVO.
We accept these icons with great gratitude, it is very important at this moment in history that our warriors are together with our people and our faith! — notes a fighter with the call sign “North”.
