Crimean schoolchildren will take part in the finals of the All-Russian Inclusive Spartakiad of Schoolchildren

The final stage of the All-Russian Spartakiad of school sports clubs for students with disabilities and disabled children will be held in Smena from May 3 to 16. 243 schoolchildren from 13 regions of Russia will take part in the competition.

Participants of sports clubs of special (correctional) schools — winners of the regional stage of the competition — will meet in the finals of the Spartakiad. The guys will compete in athletics, table tennis, swimming, checkers and mini-football. The teams that take the first three places in the overall team competition will receive cups and diplomas from the Russian Ministry of Education. The winners and runners-up in the individual championship will be awarded medals and memorable prizes.

At Smena, the children are treated not only to competitions, but also to a rich educational program. The athletes will be given a tour of the “Park of the Future” center of professional excellence, where modern workers and engineering professions are presented. Together with their peers from other educational programs, children will celebrate the 79th anniversary of Victory in the Great Patriotic War, Black Sea Fleet Day and International Family Day.

We approached the organization of the Olympics with a high degree of responsibility — we prepared the necessary infrastructure for the children, created a comfortable and, most importantly, accessible environment that meets safety requirements. We hope that the combination of the sea climate with the friendly atmosphere of the camp will give the children a reserve of strength, a positive attitude and faith in victory at competitions,” said Igor Zhuravlev, director of the All-Russian Children’s Center “Smena”.

The All-Russian Spartakiad of school sports clubs for students with disabilities is held with the support of the Ministry of Education of the Russian Federation and the Ministry of Sports of the Russian Federation, the First Movement, the All-Russian Federation of School Sports, the All-Russian Sports Federation of Sports for the Deaf, and the All-Russian Federation of Sports for Persons with Intellectual Disabilities. The organizers of the final stage of the competition are the All-Russian Children’s Center «Smena» and the Federal Center for Organizational and Methodological Support of Physical Education.
