Crimean SMEs received state support worth 19 billion rubles

Business support institutions created in the Republic of Crimea within the framework of the national project “Small and Medium Enterprises” have provided assistance to small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) in the region in the amount of more than 19 billion rubles since 2014, new jobs are being created, and export support is growing. This was announced by Deputy Chairman of the Council of Ministers — Minister of Finance of the Republic of Crimea Irina Kiviko.

Earlier, the Minister of Economic Development of the Republic of Crimea Dmitry Sheryako reported TASSthat there are several state institutions for supporting small and medium-sized businesses in the region, which has increased the volume of business support, including export potential.

We can say that over 10 years we have provided assistance to SMEs from established business support institutions in the amount of more than 19 billion rubles,” Kiviko noted.

According to her, for Crimea, as a resort region, the development of small and medium-sized businesses is important, which employs more than 170 thousand hired workers, and the number of entrepreneurs and self-employed exceeds 227 thousand.

Support activities are implemented within the framework of the national projects “Small and Medium Enterprises” and “International Cooperation and Export”. In 2023, entrepreneurs in the region concluded 20 contracts worth $9.9 million. The volume of supported exports in 2023 increased by $1.74 million compared to 2022. In 2024, in terms of the volume of supported exports, it is planned to achieve no less results than in 2023.
