Crimean student teams are preparing for the start of the Snow Landing of the Russian North Ossetia

From January 26 to February 4, the Republican patriotic action “Crimean student landing of the Russian North Ossetia” will take place in Crimea as part of the All-Russian patriotic action “Snow landing of the Russian North Ossetia”. This year more than 500 people will take part in the event. In addition to students from leading universities on our peninsula, students from schools and colleges will take part in the labor landing for the first time, forming labor teams of teenagers. Schoolchildren will help improve the park areas of Armyansk, Yevpatoria, Simferopol, Yalta and the village of Pribrezhnoye in the Saki district.

The RSO Snow Landing is a large-scale volunteer event in which fighters from student groups from all over the country participate. The activities of the Snow Landing of the North Ossetia are aimed at improving populated areas, providing assistance to the elderly, children and veterans of the Great Patriotic War, career guidance work with high school students, as well as popularizing volunteerism and work activity among school and student youth. In the Republic of Crimea, the action has its own name — the Crimean Student Landing of the Russian North Ossetia, which is due to the lack of a large amount of snow, unlike many “mainland” regions of the country.

Guys from 20 detachments of the Crimean Student Landing Force of the Russian Socialist Republic will work in 18 municipalities of the Republic of Crimea, and will also work outside of Crimea for the first time, helping to clean up and improve settlements in the municipalities of the Zaporozhye region. The teams will also work at the sites of the Tavrida Art Cluster, helping to prepare it for the new creative season this year.

The RNO snow landing in the Republic of Crimea has been held for the seventh time and every year the action becomes more and more large-scale both in the scope of participants and in the coverage of territories. For the first time this year, in addition to students, schoolchildren will take an active part in the action; for the first time this year, we will work as part of the action in new territories with student workers from the Zaporozhye region. All this would not be possible if Crimean youth were not interested. Over the past ten years of Crimea as part of the Russian Federation, Crimeans, not only with words, but also with their work, have proven their readiness to work for the benefit of our country and our region. And the Crimean student landing force of the Russian North Ossetia is one of the clearest proofs of this— says the commander of student detachments of the Republic of Crimea, Vladimir Kaidansky.

This year the action is being implemented at the expense of the Second Grant Competition of the State Committee for Youth Policy of the Republic of Crimea in 2023.
