Crimean student teams held New Year's events for children of SVO participants
CrimeaPRESS reports:
In December, on the initiative of student groups of the Republic of Crimea, the action “New Year, take it and do it” was held. For two weeks, student members donated blood at the Crimean Republican Blood Center in Simferopol. Using funds received from donating blood, students purchased New Year’s kits for the children of participants in the Special Military Operation (SVO).
On December 19, St. Nicholas Day, students together with The branch of the State Fund for Supporting Participants of the Northern Military District “Defenders of the Fatherland” in the Republic of Crimea held a New Year’s program for children so that the New Year’s holiday would become a bright and memorable event for them.
We have great respect for every SVO soldier and their families, and we try to organize such emotional events as much as possible. Participants calmly carry out their combat duty, they know that their families are surrounded by care. During the New Year’s performance, an atmosphere of celebration and magic reigned, and the positive emotional mood of the children and their parents was felt. Grandfather Frost brought with him a real holiday with songs and dances, round dances around the Christmas tree. The children read poems to him and the Snow Maiden, for which they received New Year’s gifts. Many thanks to our students who volunteered to host such an event. They donated blood, bought gifts with the proceeds and organized a celebration. It’s worth a lot when our youth support, support the families of SVO participants, — quotes the press service Head of the Branch of the State Fund for Supporting Participants of the Northern Military District “Defenders of the Fatherland” in the Republic of Crimea, Vladimir Tregub.
During the campaign, 63 students donated blood, through whose efforts fifty New Year’s gifts were collected for children.
For us, first of all, it was important to help both medical institutions and military hospitals where there was a shortage of blood and plasma in order to smooth out peak needs. But in the process of implementing the donor campaign, the guys offered to use the funds received from donating blood to purchase New Year’s kits for the children of SVO participants. We understood that we would not be able to congratulate all the children, but for at least some of the children we would try to create a New Year’s atmosphere and celebration. Then the guys prepared and held a New Year’s performance with the presentation of gifts and, judging by the sparkling eyes of the children, all this was done, not in vain, and we managed to realize our plans, — says the head of student teams of the Republic of Crimea Vladimir Kaidansky.
