Crimean taekwondo athletes won three bronze medals at the Southern Federal District Championship in the Rostov region

On October 5-6, the Southern Federal District WTF Taekwondo Championship among men and women was held in Shakhty, Rostov Region. The competition brought together 125 of the best athletes from eight regions of southern Russia. The Crimeans have three bronze medals. Among men in the weight category up to 87 kg, a student of the KFU sports club climbed to the podium Alexey Ishchenko (coach – Nikolai Mishin).

The women’s bronze medalists were: Lyudmila Tolkacheva (up to 49 kg) and Kristina Tyrina (up to 62 kg). Unfortunately, an unfortunate injury did not allow Kristina Tyrina to continue fighting for higher awards. Both athletes train under the guidance of Svetlana Ustinova at the Energia MB UDO (Simferopol).
