Crimean weightlifter Gevorg Serobyan became the silver medalist of the 5th ALBA Bolivarian Games

Crimean athlete Gevorg Serobyan became the silver medalist in the weight category up to 73 kg — the second in snatch, clean and jerk and overall at the 5th ALBA Bolivarian Games 2023 (Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela).

The Games of the countries of the Bolivarian Alliance include competitions in 35 sports, about 3,500 athletes from 11 countries take part in them. This year, for the first time, the competitions are held in an open format with the invitation of the Russian sports delegation. The Russian team of 48 athletes takes part in boxing, beach volleyball, karate, table tennis, weightlifting, trampolining and rhythmic gymnastics.
