Crimean winegrowers carry out seasonal pruning of vines
CrimeaPRESS reports:
In the farms of the Crimean winegrowers, they have already carried out work on pruning the vines on more than half of the entire area — 8.6 thousand hectares.
Seasonal pruning of the vine is one of the main elements of vine care. The quality and quantity of the harvest directly depends on such work. Let me emphasize that over the past 9 years, about 5 billion rubles have been invested in the viticulture industry. 870 million rubles will be allocated this year— quotes the press service of the Minister of Agriculture of the Republic of Crimea Andrei Savchuk.
Andrey Savchuk recalled that now the Crimean Ministry of Agriculture is accepting documents for the provision of subsidies for the laying of vineyards. Since last year, the ministry not only subsidizes the laying of new plantations, but also supports wineries, which can receive a subsidy to reimburse part of the cost of purchasing equipment, equipment that is used both for laying vineyards and for the production of wine products.
Last year, about 129,000 tons of grapes were harvested in the republic. More than 2,000 hectares of new vineyards were also planted. Thus, the total area of vine plantations in the republic is 20.42 thousand hectares, of which 16.78 thousand hectares are in fruiting. In total, since 2014, 7,000 hectares of new vineyards have been planted in Crimeathe minister notes.
