The Krasnogvardeisky District Court issued a verdict in a criminal case against a local resident. The Crimean woman was found guilty of committing a crime under Part 3 of Art. 159.2 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation (fraud in receiving payments).
The court found that the convicted woman, being the mother of two children, provided the territorial administration of the pension fund with deliberately false information about the disposal of maternity capital funds, which the woman allegedly used to pay off the debt spent on purchasing a plot of land in the Astrakhan region. Thus, the defendant received more than 450 thousand rubles. In fact, the funds were cashed out and used by her at her own discretion.,” the prosecutor’s office told about the details of the “scheme.”
The court, taking into account the position of the state prosecutor, sentenced the woman to 8 months in prison, which was suspended with a probationary period for a similar period. The prosecutor’s claim to recover damages caused by the crime from the defendant was also satisfied.
