Crimean woman received 2 years in prison for stealing money from a bank card

A previously convicted 42-year-old resident of the Nizhnegorsk region, accused of stealing money from a bank account, was convicted by a verdict of the Nizhnegorsky District Court of the Republic of Crimea.
The court found that in August last year, the defendant, while visiting the victim with her friend, where they drank alcohol, saw that the victim’s bank card fell out of the pocket of his shorts, decided to steal money from the «owner’s» bank account. Realizing her criminal intent, the woman secretly took the victim’s bank card, from which she subsequently stole money for a total of 2,000 rubles, by withdrawing cash through an ATM. She disposed of the money at her own discretion. At the hearing, the defendant fully admitted her guilt in the committed crime, explained that she voluntarily compensated the victim for the material damage in full, she repents of her deed, — announced the details of the case in the press service of the court.
The court, after evaluating the evidence in the aggregate, given the recurrence of crimes, found the defendant guilty of committing crimes, under subsection. g h. 3 Article. 158 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation, and sentenced her to imprisonment for a term of 2 years in a correctional colony of general regime.
The verdict has not entered into force and can be appealed on appeal.
