Crimean «Yalta Summer Jam» won the grand final of the international contest-award «CARDO»

The Yalta Festival was noted for its contribution to the development of street culture and sports.

The Yalta Summer Jam summer music and dance festival, which has been taking place on the Yalta embankment for 14 years, has become one of the winners of the CARDO international competition-award in support of talents in the field of street culture and sports. 2500 people from 21 countries of the world took part in the grand final. This year, the international contest-award in support of street culture and sports «CARDO» has reached a new high level, becoming part of the presidential platform «Russia — a country of opportunities», which unites personnel, social and educational projects from all over the country, the organizers said.

Participants from two dozen countries of the world met in the grand final: Russia, Argentina, Armenia, Belarus, Brazil, Germany, Greece, Iraq, Iran, Kazakhstan, China, Costa Rica, Kyrgyzstan, Morocco, Mexico, France, South Africa, South Korea , Japan…

At the awards ceremony, which took place in Stavropol, nine winners and the winner of the Grand Prix of the video contest were announced, as well as 10 winners of the award for contribution to the development of street culture. All the lucky ones shared the prize fund of 3 million 150 thousand rubles and received gifts from partners. In the Breaking nomination, the victory went to the Crimean festival Yalta Summer Jam, which has been held in Yalta since 2001.

Valentin Rabotenko, General Director of the CARDO international competition-award, shared that a similar project for participants under 16 years of age, CARDO.Children, is scheduled to be launched in September.

The international competition-award «CARDO» is supported by: the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Russian Federation, the Federal Agency for Youth Affairs (Rosmolodezh), the Presidential Grants Fund, the Civic Chamber of the Russian Federation and the North Caucasus Federal University.
