Crimean youth organizations took part in events dedicated to the celebration of Defender of the Fatherland Day

Students and schoolchildren of leading youth organizations and associations of the Republic of Crimea laid flowers at the Eternal Flame memorial at the Tomb of the Unknown Soldier in the park named after. Yu.A. Gagarin. Aleksey Zinchenko, Chairman of the State Committee for Youth Policy of the Republic of Crimea Aleksey Zinchenko, speaking to the youth, honored the memory of the fallen soldiers-defenders of the Fatherland, and stressed that a country in which the younger generation honors and respects its soldiers and defenders was, is and will be invincible.

Defender of the Fatherland Day is a holiday for us that embodies the continuity of generations, reflects the role of the army and navy in the history of our country and the deep respect that surrounds military duty and military service. It is a symbol of the unity and solidarity of the Russian army and people in the defense of both the borders and the interests of our Motherland. We remember that nine years ago, the formation of the People’s Militia of Crimea began, with the efforts of which the interests of Crimeans and Sevastopol residents were defended in 2014. We remember how many people who are not indifferent to the fate of their country, after the start of a special military operation a year ago, began to provide all possible assistance in the collection and formation of humanitarian cargo.
