Crimean Youth Theater — laureates of the highest theater award of the Republic «Golden Griffin». Three times!

Once every two years, the republic celebrates the best performances and theater figures of the peninsula among professional theaters. In 2023, the Crimean State Youth Theater received three “Golden Griffins”.

The performances were reviewed by members of the expert council, this year the jury included experts in the field of theatrical art from different regions of Russia: theater critic and playwright Ksenia Normanskaya (Sevastopol), theater and film director Anton Lutsenko (Moscow), chief choreographer of Khabarovsk regional drama theater Andrey Krylov (Khabarovsk), actor, director, teacher of the Yekaterinburg State Theater Institute Andrey Neustroev (Ekaterinburg). The chairman of the expert council this year was Alexander Batalin, general director of the Fiolent Plant (Simferopol).

At the awards ceremony, the Crimean Youth Theater was nominated in 7 categories, three of which were awarded. The play “The Frog Princess” directed by Nina Permyakova was recognized as the best performance for children. Experts also appreciated the costumes and scenery of the fairy tale of the Crimean Youth Theater; Sergei Permyakov received the Golden Griffin as the production designer of the play.

The sensational play “Evpatoria Landing,” which was awarded the State Prize of the Republic of Crimea, received another award. For the best dramatization, the “Golden Griffin” was awarded to the author and director of the iconic performance, Andrei Permyakov.
