Crimeans and Sevastopol residents “took” four medals at the Russian Powerlifting Cup in Tula

On October 9-18, the Russian Powerlifting Cup was held in Tula at the Oruzheynik sports and recreation center. More than 400 athletes from 65 regions of the Russian Federation took part in the competition.
Crimean lifters won two gold medals. Candidate Master of Sports of Russia Olga Golovataya from Krasnoperekopsk became the winner of the competition among women in the classic bench press discipline in the weight category up to 52 kg (result — 85 kg). Master of Sports Sergei Yakush from the Primorsky Territory, now also representing Crimea in the parallel competition, in the equipment division among men in the category up to 105 kg, pressed a barbell weighing 350 kg — this is a new Russian record, which, by the way, is 4 kg higher than the current record peace, established in 2019 by Vladimir Grishaev— reports «Crimean sport».
The Sevastopol team also won two medals. Master of Sports Alexey Nazarenko with a result of 190 kg took silver in the “classic bench press” among men in the category up to 83 kg. Master of Sports Alexander Dolenko won bronze in the equipment division among men in the category up to 120 kg (his result was 302.5 kg).
