Crimeans are against the tax on childlessness

85% of Crimeans are against the introduction of a tax on childlessness. In a service survey Superjob Representatives of the economically active population from Crimea took part.

The initiative to introduce a tax on childlessness has received wide resonance in society. 85% of Crimeans do not support the introduction of the tax: 59% are definitely against it, 26% are rather against it. Women are more likely than men to express disagreement (90% versus 80%): “Everyone decides for himself whether he needs children or not. Plus, thousands of women cannot give birth on their own. We don’t need to choke you with taxes here, we need to help and do IVF for free not just once.”

Crimeans under the age of 34 clearly oppose the initiative more often than those older (75% versus 57% among respondents over 45): “Instead of punishing people for not having children, the state should focus on improving living conditions, supporting families and creating conditions under which people will want to have children voluntarily.” There are more opponents of the childlessness tax among respondents with an income of up to 50 thousand rubles. (69% versus 59% among those earning over 100 thousand rubles per month): “Introduce decent wages for work, then ask about children.”

The overwhelming majority of childless Crimeans did not support the introduction of the tax (95% of those who do not have children but plan in the future, and 97% of those who do not have children and have no desire to have them).
