Crimeans are invited to take part in the EcoGerb project

The State Committee for Water Management and Land Reclamation of the Republic of Crimea invites Crimeans to take part in the project of the V.I. Vernadsky — «All-Russian competition» Ecological Emblem: Know to Preserve The goal of the project is to create the first in the Russian Federation interactive map of ecological emblems of subjects and settlements. Participants of the All-Russian competition «EcoEmblem» will help to identify the environmental symbols of the constituent entities and settlements of the Russian Federation and fix these symbols in the form of environmental emblems.

Our Crimea is rich in unique representatives of flora and fauna, which deserve to become symbols of the region’s identity and emphasize its uniqueness. Participation in the competition is a great opportunity not only to unleash the creative potential of the participants, but also to draw attention to rare and endangered species of plants or animals of the Crimea , the State Committee for Water Resources of the Republic of Crimea reported.

Competition nominations:

— Ecological coat of arms of a constituent entity of the Russian Federation (the object of creating an ecological emblem is one of the constituent entities of Russia).

— Ecological emblem of a settlement of the Russian Federation (the object of creating an ecological emblem is any settlement (city, urban-type settlement, village, etc.) located on the territory of Russia).

Acceptance of applications for the competition will begin on April 1 and end on 31 July of the year. The results of the competition will be announced in autumn. Any citizen of Russia over 7 years old can take part in the competition. In each nomination, the winners are determined in three age groups (7- years, — years, older than years).

Based on the results of the competition, the Foundation will create the first interactive map of ecological emblems of subjects and settlements in Russia. The best works of the contest participants will be sent to the heads of subjects and municipalities of the Russian Federation for the selection of the environmental emblem of the 2023 year.
