Crimeans are participants in the international business forum “Rostki: Russia and China – mutually beneficial cooperation”

The international business forum “Rostki: Russia and China — mutually beneficial cooperation” was held on September 7-8, 2023 in the city of Kazan. The event was attended by heads of relevant federal ministries, public organizations, Russian cities, as well as delegations of Chinese provinces, partners of the Republic of Tatarstan: Shandong, Hunan, Sichuan, Anhui, Heilongjiang, Zhejiang, Chongqing. The Republic of Crimea was represented at the international business forum by the Deputy Permanent Representative of the Republic of Crimea to the President of the Russian Federation Svetlana Kolodyazhnaya-Sheremetyeva and the head of the Yalta city administration Yanina Pavlenko.
Business forum participants and experts discussed issues of trade and economic cooperation, the development of certain industries, medicine, high technology and education. Thus, the Deputy Permanent Representative of the Republic of Crimea to the President of the Russian Federation Svetlana Kolodyazhnaya-Sheremetyeva and the head of the Yalta city administration Yanina Pavlenko spoke at specialized sections of the international business forum on the development of regional foreign economic activity through the Crimean seaports and the preservation of the historical heritage of the modern city.
In her speech, Svetlana Kolodyazhnaya-Sheremetyeva noted that the ports of the cities of Kerch and Feodosia have unique opportunities to export and import Russian goods to the markets of Africa, the Middle East and Latin America.
In turn, the delegation from the People’s Republic of China expressed interest in working together to export grain and create enterprises in the Free Economic Zone on the territory of the Republic of Crimea. During a meeting with the management of the large Volga grain trader Agrosila, Svetlana Kolodyazhnaya-Sheremetyeva offered to deliver their products to African countries through the ports of eastern Crimea.
