Crimeans are the winners of the XX All-Russian contest «My country is my Russia»

On the final day of the St. Petersburg International Economic Forum, the solemn ceremony of awarding the winners of the XX All-Russian competition «My country — my Russia», a project of the presidential platform «Russia — a country of opportunities» was held. From the Republic of Crimea, prize-winning places were taken by student Sarvar Gulyaev and a teacher of history and social studies Evgenia Yelshova:

  • Sarvar Gulyaev, student of the Humanitarian and Pedagogical Academy “KFU named after IN AND. Vernadsky» from the city of Yalta, took first place in the nomination «Intellectual property of my country». The project with which the student won was the development of a program for text recognition on images using artificial intelligence technology for the GPA Yalta Portal.
  • The project, which won the 2nd place in the contest «My country — my Russia» in the nomination «My multinational Russia», was presented by the teacher of history and social studies Yevgenia Yelshova from the city of Yalta. The project «Archaeological Expedition» of the «School of the Young Historian and Local Lore» — «Ust-Alma — 2023» is aimed at popularizing historical knowledge among young people and preserving the cultural heritage of the Republic of Crimea.

In 2023, more than 100 thousand people from 89 regions of Russia and 25 foreign countries took part in the My Country — My Russia contest, including: Belarus, Uzbekistan, Tajikistan, Armenia, Kazakhstan, India, China. 150 participants aged 18 and over entered the final stage of the anniversary season, 43 authors of the best projects aimed at the socio-economic development of Russian territories took prizes.

Representatives of federal ministries, departments, educational organizations and partners took part in summing up the results of the XX All-Russian contest “My Country – My Russia”, who announced the authors of the best projects and presented valuable prizes in 14 thematic categories. For the second year, My Pedagogical Initiative remains the most popular. This nomination has no age restrictions and is especially popular among teachers and lecturers from small towns and villages.

The symbol of the anniversary season of the Competition was the bird of all-Russian civic identity — a collective image of birds from all over the country, reflecting the unity of the spirit of the peoples of Russia. In addition to valuable prizes, the winners of the first places were presented with a panel depicting the symbol of the 20th season.

The All-Russian competition «My country — my Russia» was born in 2003 in the city of Ryazan on the initiative of students. Today, the project is known throughout the country; over 20 years, more than 600,000 people have taken part in it. The competition is being implemented within the framework of the federal project «Social Elevators for Everyone» of the national project «Education».
