Crimeans can participate in the project «Russia — the country of opportunities» «Design marathon»

Crimeans will be able to participate in the project «Russia — the Country of Opportunities» «Design Marathon», which is being implemented for the first time and is intended to become a driver in the formation of a new Russian design culture. «Design Marathon» is being implemented within the framework of the program «Social Lifts for Everyone» of the national project «Education» and is divided into two tracks: an educational online course and a professional competition.

Any resident of the Republic of Crimea aged 16 or older can become a student of the educational online course. Crimeans aged 18 or older who have experience in the field of design in the competition areas can take part in the professional competition. Registration is available on the project website on the Russia – Land of Opportunities platform.

The educational online course consists of three blocks: interior, style and graphics. Having studied each of them, the participant will receive a general set of knowledge on composition, coloristics, materials and will be able to independently create interior solutions for an apartment or house taking into account different conditions and features of the premises, collect and maintain their wardrobe, focusing on clothing styles, as well as layout stylish presentations and other graphic products for personal and work purposes. The goal of the course is to give its listeners universal knowledge in the field of design, which can be applied here and now.

Also, listeners of the educational online course will have access to lectures from subject matter experts, live master classes, checklists, templates and instructions on design solutions. The activity of participants in this track will be assessed in points, based on the number of watched video releases and correctly completed control and creative tasks in each direction separately. The results will be calculated using an automated assessment system.

Those who are among the finalists will receive access to the educational course «Procreative» of the Senezh Management Workshop — interactive training in leadership in creative professions. The best creative solutions will be published in the project’s information channels. The winners will receive free access to the educational course of the «Pro» level on the topic of one of the modules of the video course.

During the professional competition, participants will be able to demonstrate their creative potential in solving real practical cases on transforming the public environment. The competition will be held in three stages: «Redesign Marathon», «Design Case Marathon» — two qualifying stages, and the third, final: «Design Intensive».

Introductory webinars from leading designers will be organized for the participants of the professional track, who will introduce the contestants to the specifics of case assignments. An expert council will be formed to evaluate design solutions, which will include industry experts.
