Crimeans helped save a volunteer bakery in the front-line villages of the Kherson region
CrimeaPRESS reports:
“Today is a big holiday on our Kinburn “island” – bread baking has begun!” This is how the letter begins, which came to the Crimean branch of the Popular Front from residents of the front-line villages of the Kherson region. The Crimeans sent a generator to them at the request of the fighters -3 villages were left without electricity and the only bakery after the Ukrainian arrivals:
Thank you so much for the generator that breathed life into our villages. Now every resident of the Kinburn Spit will receive free bread. In addition, on the basis of the bakery, we organize a free food point. The bakery has become a kind of «Survival Center» in the village. Some kind of public life began around the earned «Survival Center». People have hope that things will get easier. Special thanks for the things, especially for children. We are confident that by relying on people like you, we can make each day a little better than the previous one. And once again, thank you so much for your help! Inhabitants of the Kinburn «island» — this is how the letter ends.
Ordinary volunteers have little chance of reaching the villages. Territories and entrances are covered not only by drones, but also by bullets. But our military simply could not leave the inhabitants of the villages to their fate. When it was possible to purchase a generator, it was delivered on military special equipment.
Many thanks to our fighters who, being in dangerous positions and performing combat missions, still think about civilians. Thanks to all the Crimeans who continue to help all this time and thanks to whom we managed to quickly send the generator. And we will continue to help residents of front-line villages with everything they need— says the head of the regional executive committee of the Popular Front in Crimea, Alla Vertinskaya.
