Crimeans softened control over finances, but increased the volume of savings

Every second Crimean assesses his level of financial literacy as average, every fourth man and every fifth woman consider it high. When it comes to accounting for income and expenses, city residents adhere to a lax approach; they try to plan short-term expenses and have savings equal to 1-2 salaries. Economically active citizens took part in the survey of the service for finding high-paying jobs SuperJob.
2 out of 3 Crimeans keep personal financial records: every second roughly calculates their income and expenses, 15% scrupulously. Moreover, strict accounting of income and expenses is most often carried out by city residents with an income of 80 thousand rubles. per month (26%). Every third person does not keep track of their income and expenses (35%). 74% of respondents plan their income and expenses: 36% plan their finances for up to six months, 21% for six months to a year, 17% plan expenses for a longer period. Men (20%) plan finances more often than others for a long term; women (25%) plan for six months to a year. Respondents with an income of 80 thousand rubles or more also have a cash plan for up to a year. per month (27%). 26% do not plan their income and expenses,” noted the service’s press service.
In a situation of sudden deprivation of all sources of income, the savings of citizens on average will last a little more than 4 months. 12% of respondents have enough savings for only a month. 23% of respondents will be able to live on the saved funds for 1-2 months, 12% for 3-6 months. Thanks to the financial cushion, 7% will be able to live without income for six months to a year, 6% — for more than a year. 4 out of 10 respondents have no savings.
Residents of Crimea most often rate their level of financial literacy as average (48%). 25% of city residents have high competence in personal finance, 13% have low competence. Men are more confident than women in their high level of financial literacy (27 and 22%, respectively). But most often respondents with an income of 80 thousand rubles answered this way. per month (27%).
