Crimeans told how they deal with anxiety before an interview
CrimeaPRESS reports:
Methods of self-hypnosis and breathing exercises to combat anxiety before an interview with an employer are more often used by women, alcohol — by men. In an open service survey SuperJob Representatives of the economically active population of Crimea took part.
Only 1 out of 4 residents of Crimea does not feel nervous before an interview with an employer. Judging by the survey results, the most popular methods of dealing with stress include self-hypnosis (every tenth applicant uses them), breathing exercises (7%) and calming pills (6%). 5% self-confidence helps cope with anxiety. Another 4% is thorough preparation for the interview. 4% try to distance themselves from the upcoming interview, not remember it, and think about pleasant things. 3% combat anxiety through exercise and walking. Another 2% treat themselves to delicious coffee or tea. Also, 2% admitted that only alcohol helps them. Other less popular ways to deal with stress include sweets, musical relaxation, sleep, and dousing with cold water.
Among women, compared to men, auto-training (13%), breathing exercises (7%) and taking sedatives (6%) are more popular. 4 out of 100 men admitted that they can afford strong drinks on the eve of an interview; drinking alcohol before an interview is not typical for women.
26% of Crimean residents do not take any measures to combat stress: “I take risks”; “I allow myself to worry, the condition goes away on its own over time”; “There are people there too. And they are wrong too.”
