Parents from Moscow and St. Petersburg will spend more on Teacher’s Day than the national average: 4,500 and 3,500 rubles. respectively. In Crimea, the average cost of congratulating the class teacher this year will be 2,800 rubles. The average cost of a gift to a class teacher on Teacher’s Day in Russia is 3,900 rubles. (last year parent committees on average they spent 3,200 rubles.). The most popular teacher gift ideas are a traditional bouquet of flowers (63%), gift certificates (29%), sets of tea, coffee and/or sweets (23%), — noted in the press service of the service.
Only 6% of parents responded that the class where their children study does not congratulate the class teacher on Teacher’s Day.
