Crimeans, winners of the IX Spartakiad of Russian Pensioners, were awarded in Crimea

The Head of the Republic of Crimea, Sergei Aksyonov, congratulated the members of the national team of pensioners of the republic on their successful performance at the IX Spartakiad of Russian Pensioners, which was timed to coincide with the Day of the Elderly.
At the sporting event, Crimea was represented by eight winners of the regional stage of the Spartakiad, and at the federal stage the republican team managed to win the first team place in the GTO.
In addition, in the individual competition, the Crimeans took second place among men and third among women, as well as first place in the individual competition in darts competitions among women.
Sergei Aksyonov expressed gratitude to the athletes and the coach of the Crimean national team, sports veteran Sergei Kozlovsky, for the high result.
Thank you for moving forward, constantly developing and never giving up. By demonstrating character traits such as determination, self-confidence and perseverance, you are a worthy example for the younger generation. I am sure that new victories await you, and we will continue to root for you, — said the Head of the Republic.
For high professionalism and significant contribution to the development of physical culture and sports in Crimea, Sergei Aksyonov presented the athletes with Letters of Gratitude from the Head of the Republic of Crimea.
The Minister of Sports of the Republic of Crimea, Olga Torubarova, took part in the award ceremony.
REFERENCE. The IX Spartakiad of Russian Pensioners was held from September 30 to October 5 in the city of Kemerovo, Kemerovo Region. The event was organized by the Ministry of Sports of the Russian Federation and the All-Russian public organization “Union of Pensioners of Russia”. In total, 700 people from 74 regions of the country took part in the Spartakiad, as well as teams of compatriots from Belarus, Kazakhstan and Finland. Amateur athletes aged 55 and over competed in sports such as athletics, medley relay, swimming, table tennis, shooting, chess, darts and volleyball.
