Four-year-old David with cerebral palsy has to collect 60% of the cost of the rehabilitation course. David is expected in a specialized center in Penza already in August.
We have already told you about the family of four-year-old David with cerebral palsy — he really needs the help of specialists. A native of Lugansk, David fought desperately for his life from the first minutes: for five days the boy could not breathe on his own, he slowly gained weight, in a year the doctors noticed a delay in the development of the child. During his four years of life, David visited countless doctors and underwent selective dorsal rhizotomy (SDR). The spasticity was partially gone, but the family faced another problem — to teach the child to walk, to make the muscles of the legs work, which were previously not involved. The only way to help David is through rehabilitation at a specialized center where doctors know how to work with children diagnosed with cerebral palsy— noted in the Gulfstream Charitable Foundation.
David and his mother are expected for rehabilitation in Penza in a specialized center, where exercise therapy specialists will work with him for 20 days, they will use Adele’s suit, as well as a speech therapist, a neuropsychologist, the child will receive facial massage, hand therapy, the boy will visit the pool, take a spider course — classes on the simulator for the vestibular apparatus, general massage, cerebellar stimulation — restoration of the vestibular apparatus.
These activities will help David learn to take his first steps.
