Day of legal assistance in pre-trial detention center-1 of Simferopol: participants are minor teenagers

In Detention Center No. 1 of Simferopol, a Legal Aid Day was held for juvenile suspects and accused, in which the head of the Russian Ministry of Justice for the Republic of Crimea Andrei Leleko, the Commissioner for Children’s Rights in the Republic of Crimea Irina Klyueva, and the lawyer of the Crimean Republican Bar Association Mikhail Branovsky took part. , Chairman of the Public Monitoring Committee of the Republic of Crimea Andrey Kozar and member of the Public Monitoring Committee Diana Potapova, as well as Chairman of the Public Council under the Federal Penitentiary Service of Russia for the Republic of Crimea and the city of Sevastopol Ekaterina Dubrovina.
As part of the event, an advisory conversation was held for teenagers held in a penitentiary institution and legal assistance was provided, during which their rights and responsibilities were explained. Also, the Commissioner for Children’s Rights in the Republic of Crimea, Irina Klyueva, told the children about the features of protecting rights and interests in criminal proceedings. For his part, lawyer Mikhail Branovsky explained to minors the procedure for familiarizing themselves with the materials of the criminal case and the protocol of the court hearing, and also spoke about the work of the qualification commission of the Bar Chamber of the Republic of Crimea, which can be contacted if the public defender is dishonest in his duties.
