Fires of dead wood the day before were extinguished in the Simferopol, Leninsky, Krasnogvardeysky and Dzhankoy districts.

Fire officials laid hose lines and began extinguishing the fire. Within 1 hour 15 minutes the fire was localized and extinguished. Its area was 600 square meters. Thanks to the prompt work of firefighters, it was possible to avoid further “transition” of the fire. There were no casualties. The reasons are established by experts, — reported the press service of the Russian Ministry of Emergency Situations in Crimea.

Later, at 15:18, the operator on duty also received a signal about the fire of dead wood in the village. Sunrise (Dzhankoy district). The duty personnel of the village police department were sent to the scene of the incident. Within 50 minutes the fire was completely localized and extinguished. Its area was 400 square meters. Firecrackers were additionally used to extinguish the fire. There were no casualties. The reasons are being determined by experts.

The Ministry of Emergency Situations of Crimea informs that during the functioning of the special fire-prevention period, it is strictly prohibited to make fires and carry out fire-hazardous work using open fire in forests, natural ecosystems and adjacent areas, including the deliberate burning of dry vegetation and household waste. The use of open fire and the lighting of fires on agricultural lands and lands of populated areas is permitted only if fire safety requirements are strictly observed.

In addition, home owners and gardeners need to promptly clear their site and the surrounding area of ​​dry grass and flammable debris. At the same time, in the territories of populated areas and summer cottages it is prohibited to arrange flammable waste dumps, to store containers with flammable and combustible liquids, as well as cylinders with compressed and liquefied gas in open areas and in courtyards. Each residential building must have a container of water or a fire extinguisher, and streets leading to garden plots must always be accessible.

Persons guilty of violating fire safety rules, depending on the nature of the violation and their consequences, bear disciplinary, administrative or criminal liability.
