December significantly replenished the reservoirs of Crimea — “plus” 34 million cubic meters

December was marked by significant precipitation in Crimea. January appears to continue this “tradition.” In the Crimean Mountains, weather forecasters note, precipitation fell in the form of rain, sleet and snow: in the area of ​​the Ai-Petri plateau, 69% of the norm fell, but at the Angarsk Pass — 129% of the norm. By December 25, snow cover had formed in the Crimean Mountains. Its average height in the mountains was 23 cm.

Favorable weather conditions contributed to maintaining increased water content in the basins of most rivers in the northern foothills, and in most mudflow river basins of the municipal districts of Alushta, Sudak and Feodosia, insignificant flow was observed— reported the Federal State Budgetary Institution “Crimean Department of Hydrometeorology and Environmental Monitoring”.

The influx of water into the reservoirs in December was significant and in millions of cubic meters was: Belogorskoye — 12.7, Simferopolskoye — 2.9, Schastlivenskoye — 2.3, Chernorechenskoye — 15.9. The total total volume of water in natural flow reservoirs by the beginning of January 2024 year amounted to 205.6 million cubic meters, which is 34.37 million cubic meters more than a month ago.
