Delegations from Senegal were shown social facilities in Sevastopol
CrimeaPRESS reports:
A delegation from the city of Thiès, Republic of Senegal, visited social infrastructure facilities in Sevastopol. Both new and renovated. Among the institutions that were presented to the delegation was Bilingual Gymnasium No. 2, which was renovated as part of the presidential program for capital repairs of schools. The delegation members talked to students and discussed the possibility of cooperation between schools in Thiès and Sevastopol.
Our guests today discovered the education system of Sevastopol. We showed them a kindergarten, a school, and additional education. It is gratifying that our systems are similar. They also have kindergartens, but the ages of the children are different. In Ties, children go to school from the age of 5, while in our country the main stream is from 7 to 8. The guests saw that we tell our children about values, love for the Motherland, and family. We do not force them, but use soft power to show what it is. The conditions created in Sevastopol were appreciated by the members of the delegation.— the press service of the Government of Sevastopol quotes the director of the Department of Education and Science, Maxim Krivonos.
The guests were also told about the patriotic tradition that was revived in Russian schools two years ago.
All schools in Russia have a tradition — every Monday schoolchildren gather for an assembly, sing the national anthem and raise the national flag. This tradition was revived two years ago in Sevastopol, the patriotic capital of Russia– notes Maxim Krivonos.
The delegation was also shown the Ecotech+ school, the Ecograd kindergarten, and told about the development and construction of social facilities in the city. In addition, the guests were introduced to an integrated approach, within the framework of which both a kindergarten and a school are built for one microdistrict at the same time.
I really liked it and I am impressed by everything I saw. I see that the education system deals with children from an early age. Also, the educational system supports the values and traditions of Russia, prepares young people not only to be strong in life, but also technically savvy, educated. I would like to convey words of gratitude to all the teachers who take part in the education of young people«, says the mayor of the city of Thiès, Diop Babacar.
Another social facility visited by the delegation was the sports and recreation complex named after the 200th anniversary of Sevastopol.
For the delegation from Senegal, we conducted a short tour of the main facilities, which are the swimming pool and the athletics stadium. Our guests were pleasantly surprised by how good the sports facilities are that we currently operate and continue to build. The mayor of Thiès expressed the desire for our and Senegalese athletes to train and exercise together at our sports facilities.— said Mikhail Kirichenko, director of the sports and recreation complex named after the 200th anniversary of Sevastopol.
The delegation from Thiès was also presented with an ambulance substation.
I saw that Sevastopol has a well-developed medical service. We visited the ambulance station, where you can always get medical help quickly and efficiently. Cooperation in the field of healthcare, especially in matters of emergency medical care, interests me most of all, so I visited this station with interest. Specialists from Sevastopol and Ties will work together, this will be fruitful cooperation and we will be able to achieve great results. The healthcare model used in Sevastopol is well organized and developed. I saw an ambulance, it is well equipped, and we can apply these technologies in our country,” notes Diop Babacar.
