Russians are starting to prepare for the dacha season. According to Avito Services, in March the demand for improvement of gardens, vegetable plots and plots increased by 40% compared to the same period last year.
Avito Services analysts found out which “dacha” jobs Russians prefer to delegate to specialists and how prices for such services have changed.
The most popular dacha landscaping services among Russians are cutting down trees and drilling wells
In March, demand for the services of specialists in earthworks and road construction increased — by 136% and 78%, respectively, compared to the same period last year. Russians are actively looking for experts in digging trenches and wells, uprooting trees, laying garden paths, tiles or asphalt.
Russians are also showing great interest in installing and repairing fences, railings and sheds, as well as caring for their gardens — the demand for such performers has increased by 45% and 22%, respectively, year on year.
Avito Services analysts have compiled a rating of the most popular services for arranging summer cottages among Russians.

They’ll buy it inexpensively — craftsmen reduce prices
The biggest increase in supply over the year came from contractors involved in the repair and installation of fences, fences and canopies (+105%) and excavation workers (+83%). In addition, over the year there have been more specialists in wells, septic tanks and wells in Russia (+31%).
The cost of dacha landscaping services for the quarter generally remained unchanged, and for some work even decreased. For example, prices for drilling wells, septic tanks and wells fell by 8% over three months, and for gardening work — by 23%. The only services that have become more expensive are the care of artificial ponds and fountains (+41%).
