Demand revived, but the size of the average check in Sevastopol did not change

CrimeaPRESS reports:

The fact that the size of the average bill in Sevastopol did not changefollows from the May report of the Bank of Russia «Regional Economy».

According to operational data, in April-first half of May, consumer activity continued to recover. This trend was observed in most Russian regions, including Sevastopol. Such data are contained in the new issue of the report of the Bank of Russia «Regional Economy». Thus, demand in the retail segment revived in the hero city. At the same time, Sevastopol residents continued to focus on more affordable brands. According to the city retail network, despite a slight increase compared to the previous year in retail prices for consumer goods, the average check remained unchanged.— noted in the press service of the Sevastopol Branch of the Southern GU of the Bank of Russia.

In addition, the report notes that as a result of the reorientation of trade flows, the cargo turnover of the southern ports of Russia has increased by almost a third. The intensification of foreign economic activity was also observed in Sevastopol. Thanks to federal and regional state support, twelve entrepreneurs who had not previously carried out deliveries abroad concluded export contracts.

More information on the regional economy can be found in the May issue of the Bank of Russia report «Regional economy». The report contains trends in the current economic situation in all regions of the country. The material is based on official statistics, business surveys, opinions of analysts and experts. Nearly 14,000 enterprises participate in the polls, incl. about 90 Sevastopol.
