Deputy Prime Minister Dmitry Chernyshenko: «In the current academic year, Crimean universities have been allocated more than 4,000 budget places»

The Head of the Republic of Crimea Sergey Aksyonov and the Deputy Chairman of the Government of the Russian Federation Dmitry Chernyshenko discussed issues of further development of science and education in the republic. During the working meeting, special attention was paid to the admission campaign in Crimean universities and personnel training, as well as the summer health campaign and the republic’s participation in state support measures implemented under national projects.
Dmitry Chernyshenko emphasized that the Republic of Crimea is a strategically important region for Russia, which President Vladimir Putin has spoken about more than once.
This year we celebrate a significant date – the tenth anniversary of the reunification of Crimea with Russia. We wish prosperity to the region and well-being to all Crimeans. The basis of this development is personnel. In the current academic year, Crimean universities have been allocated more than 4 thousand budget places. In terms of their volume, the top specialties include medical and pedagogical areas, agriculture, construction and tourism.said the Russian Deputy Prime Minister.
It is noted that the flagship of the republic’s educational sphere — the Crimean Federal University named after V.I. Vernadsky — is involved in the Priority-2030 program and is one of the key participants in the world-class Interregional Scientific and Educational Center «MoreAgroBioTech». Dmitry Chernyshenko proposed to finalize the concept of the Crimean campus project together with the university and industrial partners.
The Deputy Prime Minister of Russia also noted the popularity of Crimea for summer holidays and Crimea’s active participation in the national project «Tourism and Hospitality Industry». Dmitry Chernyshenko thanked the republic for its assistance in organizing summer holidays for children of SVO participants and children from historical regions.
In turn, Sergey Aksyonov emphasized that the issue of providing assistance to the participants of the special operation and their families remains one of the priorities for the republican authorities. In addition, work is being carried out to support and develop human resources, including in the healthcare system and the sanatorium and resort sector.
