Deputy Prime Minister of Crimea Irina Kiviko spoke at the SPIEF site about social entrepreneurship

Deputy Chairman of the Council of Ministers — Minister of Finance of the Republic of Crimea Irina Kiviko made a report on the development of social entrepreneurship in the Republic of Crimea at an off-site meeting of the working group «Social Entrepreneurship» of the State Council of the Russian Federation commission in the direction of «Small and Medium Enterprises» within the framework of the business program of the XXVII St. Petersburg International Economic forum (SPIEF).
The meeting participants, including heads of ministries, departments, regions, and representatives of the business community, reviewed successful practices and options for solving problems faced by social entrepreneurs.
In her speech, Irina Kiviko said that support for social entrepreneurship is carried out in several directions, including through changes in tax legislation, grant support, microloans with an interest rate of 1% from the Microfinance Fund for Entrepreneurship of the Republic of Crimea.
The set of support measures implemented in Crimea has allowed the number of social entrepreneurs to increase 5 times compared to 2020. Currently, the register of social enterprises of the Republic of Crimea includes 177 SMEs,” noted Irina Kiviko.
According to the Deputy Prime Minister, the supporting organization for the development of social entrepreneurship in the region is the Center for Innovation in the Social Sphere of the My Business Center of the Republic of Crimea, which has launched a line of educational programs for social business.
As part of the professional development program for social entrepreneurs, a project was successfully implemented to form an anti-crisis team from among social entrepreneurs to provide psychological support for the crisis state of participants, veterans of the Northern Military District and refugees.
