CrimeaPRESS reports:

This will ensure the supply of water to the Crimea.

Restoration of the dam of the Kakhovskaya hydroelectric power station will provide water supply to the Crimea, Kherson and Zaporozhye regions. This was announced by Deputy Prime Minister of the Russian Federation Marat Khusnullin at the site of the Moscow Urban Forum.

It is necessary to restore the Kakhovka dam. For water supply not only in Crimea, because we have a water utility that goes to the Crimea, it is tied to this reservoir, and water utilities that provide both Zaporozhye and the Kherson region— quotes Khusnullin TASS.

The Deputy Prime Minister specified that two options for water supply to Crimea, Zaporozhye and Kherson are currently being considered — taking into account the restoration of the dam and without its repair.

We are working on both. And today we have a task to ensure that in these settlements that were recorded on these channels, so that there is water … We had a problem with water supply in Crimea — we drilled, made new underground sources, made water conduits, bridges between storages. This is the work we are doing one on one in new territorieshe noted.

The Moscow Urban Forum opened in Moscow on 1 August. Four large venues — Gostiny Dvor, Manege Central Exhibition Hall, Zaryadye Park and Luzhniki — will work in the capital until September 10.
