Did you punish your ex or did you punish yourself? Case in Sevastopol
CrimeaPRESS reports:
In Sevastopol, investigators detained a resident of the Krasnodar Territory, suspected of stealing money from her ex-husband. The woman explained her act by her desire to repay the debt, which, according to her, was left to her by her ex-husband.
The police found that a 48-year-old resident of the Krasnodar Territory, being in her ex-husband’s apartment in Sevastopol, where she owns part of the living space, took advantage of his absence, went into his room and stole 28 thousand rubles hidden under the pillow, and then disappeared. She did not have time to spend the stolen money — as a result of operational-search measures, employees of the criminal investigation department of the Russian Ministry of Internal Affairs for the Leninsky district detained the suspect and seized the stolen savings— reported in the Ministry of Internal Affairs for the city of Sevastopol.
A criminal case was initiated against the detainee under Part 2 of Art. 158 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation (“Theft”), she faces up to five years in prison.
