In Sevastopol, the results of the work of the city Department of Digital Development in 2023 were summed up. It became known that 450 thousand Sevastopol residents are registered with State Services, and 157 regional government services are already available in electronic form. During the year, citizens submitted about 2 million applications.
The implementation of the “Smart City” project continues within the framework of the national project “Housing and Urban Environment” and the national program “Digital Economy”. Smart bus stops and energy-efficient street lighting, an intelligent video surveillance system and a cashless toll payment system, a school progress recording system and a medical data center — all this is a “Smart City”. Last year, Sevastopol participated in the “IQ Cities” rating and took 30th place out of 64 in the “Large Cities” category. We bypassed cities such as Novorossiysk and Murmansk, which were previously more than ten positions ahead of Sevastopol,” said Sevastopol Governor Mikhail Razvozhaev.
According to him, one of the most important areas of work was the digital transformation of public security. There are already 1,257 video surveillance cameras connected to the ARGUS video surveillance system in Sevastopol, and law enforcement officers have access to each of them.
The region continues to develop mobile communications, the Internet and television:
— the mobile communications coverage area is expanding: last year, more than 100 base stations were built in Sevastopol (there are already more than 400 in the city) and 52 antenna mast structures of communication facilities, where operators can place their equipment;
— 138 thousand households already have broadband Internet access;
— when connecting to terrestrial digital television, all Sevastopol residents have access to 28 TV channels of three multiplexes free of charge.
Also last year, two chatbots in Telegram began working in Sevastopol: this @oborona92bot for reporting suspected dangers and @mob92_bot to support the mobilized.
