Divided “in a related way”: in Sevastopol, the court will consider the case of how an aunt deprived her niece of half of the house
CrimeaPRESS reports:
In Sevastopol, the prosecutor’s office sent a criminal case to court against a woman who deprived her ward relative — niece — of housing.
The prosecutor’s office of the Leninsky district of Sevastopol approved the indictment in a criminal case against a 42-year-old local resident living in the village of Ternovka. She is charged under Part 4 of Art. 159 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation (fraud on an especially large scale, resulting in the deprivation of a citizen’s right to housing). According to investigators, the woman has a daughter and has been the guardian of her niece since April 2014. Both girls inherited ½ shares in the right of common shared ownership of their grandmother’s land plot in the village. Ternivka, on which there is a residential building. In 2020, the defendant convinced her niece to sign an agreement on the division of a common land plot into two different ones, allegedly in order to avoid further property disputes. However, she made the division in such a way that the house remained on the part that had gone to her daughter, and the victim received an empty half of the plot. After registering the ownership of both heirs to the land, the woman registered her daughter’s ownership of the entire residential building— announced the details of the case in the press service of the prosecutor’s office of Sevastopol.
Thus, the attacker deprived her 17-year-old niece of half of her grandmother’s house, in which the victim has lived since childhood, and caused her damage in the amount of more than 1 million rubles. In order to protect her rights, the girl applied to the prosecutor’s office of the Balaklavsky district of Sevastopol. Based on the materials of the prosecutor’s check, in cooperation with the UEBiPK of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Russia for the city of Sevastopol, the investigating authority initiated a criminal case. The investigation was conducted by the investigative department for the Leninsky district of the Main Investigative Directorate of the Investigative Committee of Russia for the Republic of Crimea and the city of Sevastopol. During the investigation, the property belonging to the defendant and the car were seized. The prosecutor’s office sent the criminal case to the Leninsky District Court of Sevastopol for consideration on the merits.
