Dmitry Chernyshenko: More than two million applications to universities and colleges have already been submitted using the State Services portal

CrimeaPRESS reports:

The admission campaign to universities and colleges is ongoing in Russia. More than 2 million applications to universities and colleges have already been submitted using the State Services portal, Deputy Prime Minister of the Russian Federation Dmitry Chernyshenko reported. This year, on the State Services portal’s super service — «Online University Admission», applicants can not only apply to any university in Russia, but also find a future employer in advance by concluding an agreement with them for targeted training. This format allows the student to receive support already during their studies, and then be guaranteed employment.

On the instructions of the President of Russia Vladimir Putin, all necessary conditions for training qualified personnel are being created in our country. One of the tools that helps to strengthen our human resources potential is the super service «Online University Admission». With its help, applicants can submit applications to higher education institutions remotely — through State Services. More than 460 thousand people have already used this option, submitting 1.6 million applications. Applications will be accepted for another 2 weeks, until July 25. The super service also allows you to apply for targeted training. Let me remind you that this year up to 145 thousand students will be able to take advantage of this opportunity within the established quota; today, more than 50 thousand applicants have already submitted applications for targeted training.notes Deputy Chairman of the Government of the Russian Federation Dmitry Chernyshenko.

He added that applications will be accepted at secondary vocational education institutions until August 15. Colleges that have places left may extend the acceptance period until November 25.

The speed and convenience of the “Online University Admission” service are illustrated by the numbers: in 2023, the fastest application was submitted in just 1 minute 3 seconds. You can submit documents to five universities at once, choosing up to 5 areas of study in each, receive notifications from a curator in your personal account, sign up for additional entrance exams and even send the original certificate — all this can be done on “Gosuslugi”, which is being developed under the national project “Digital Economy”.
