Does it stick to your hands? A local resident was detained on suspicion of stealing a wallet and construction tools in Simferopol
CrimeaPRESS reports:
An 81-year-old local resident applied to OP No. 2 «Kievskiy» of the Russian Ministry of Internal Affairs for the city of Simferopol with a statement about the theft of a wallet containing about 30 thousand rubles. The man explained that he was in the building of a state institution, and, due to his own inattention, left a purse with money on the table. When I realized it, the wallet was gone.
Also, the police received a statement from a 35-year-old Simferopol resident. The victim reported the theft of construction tools from an unfinished household. The man said that at night, an unknown person, breaking the glass of a window, entered the non-residential premises of an unfinished household, from where he stole a welding machine, a circular saw, a grinder and an electric saw, thereby causing damage totaling about 20 thousand rubles. Officers of the Criminal Investigation Department of Police Department No. 2 «Kievskiy» of the Russian Ministry of Internal Affairs for the city of Simferopol detained a previously convicted 45-year-old local resident on suspicion of committing these crimes. The attacker confessed to his deed and explained that he spent the stolen money on his own needs, and sold construction tools on the market to an unknown person, — reported in the press service of the Russian Interior Ministry in the Crimea.
The investigator of OP No. 2 «Kievskiy» of the Russian Ministry of Internal Affairs for the city of Simferopol initiated criminal cases on the grounds of the corpus delicti under Part 2 of Art. 158 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation (Theft).
The perpetrator faces up to five years in prison.
Currently, the detainee has been chosen a measure of restraint — house arrest.
